Join local flower farm, PepperHarrow (Adam and Jenn O'Neal) for a fun exploration of wild violets jelly making! Our springtime workshop, held at Kitchen Collage, will focus on crafting homemade jelly with the essence of wild violets, a pretty, delicate spring ephemeral, and edible flower.
PepperHarrow is a haven for those who cherish the connection between nature, each other, and our tables. They'll guide you through the process of identifying and safely harvesting wild violets, transforming them into a vibrant jelly that captures the very essence of spring. This hands-on workshop delves into the fascinating world of floral infusions. Learn the techniques for coaxing out the subtle fragrance and flavor of wild violets, creating a jelly, or simple syrup for cocktails, unlike any other. We'll cover the basics of small-batch jelly making using natural ingredients, making sure your creation is not only delicious but safe for long-term storage through basic canning techniques. You'll leave the workshop with not only a small jar of your own handcrafted wild violet jelly, but also the newfound knowledge and confidence to create unique floral jellies at home. Register today!

Join LorAnn Oils at Kitchen Collage for a night of flavor experimentation and learn how to pair the common with the uncommon. After an overview of how to pair flavors, each attendee will receive 6 cupcakes to soak, fill, frost, and top with different combinations to create your new signature flavor profile. Participants will take home their cupcakes, a gift bag full of LorAnn products, and a flavor pairing chart that can be applied to desserts beyond cupcakes.
